We went with our children (6&8) and they each rode a donkey for 30 minutes. Afterwards they went into the woods and found clues of how to draw a donkey, which they enjoyed too. The total cost was a reasonable €22 and the staff were very friendly too.

We are staying near Lac Jaunay and read some reviews on TripAdvisor before leaving. Would definitely recommend this place, the lovely lady owner is a natural with children and immediately engaged my 6 year old son who is not even that interested in animals by making him slide off the back of a donkey! I was only expecting a half... More

We have visited twice and the kids 9&7 they love it, people are friendly and you are expected to lead your donkeys around the circuit. They know where there going so can't get lost. After go down to the lake where there is a nice restaurant where you can eat or drink. We'll worth a couple of hour shift.

We took our 2 boys (3 & 5) to see the donkeys and have a ride. We read the reviews before and decided to give it a go. So pleased we did! The very nice lady was so welcoming and superb with children. She immediately got our boys interest in a 15 day old donkey. We waited for our donkey... More

The owners are what you can call real donkey lovers and have a great way of sharing this with whoever comes along. 2 €/adult (children free) for a simple visit, 9.5 € for a 30 min tour on donkey.

We visited Calins-Ca-Anes after reading the few British reviews on the site. All we can say is that we totally agree with everything said. The owner and her family were brilliant with our three year old daughter Sophia, they were warm and engaging and they couldn't do enough for us. We couldn't believe what great value for money it was,... More

I came across this wonderful place through searching online for family activities in the Vendee and reading the one English review on here. Our girls are 3 & 5 years old and love nothing more than spending time with cute animals. So this seemed like a good place to try. Upon arriving we were greeted by the wonderful owner who... More

We have visited annually since 2009 and each time we visit "The Donkey Lady" we are greeted like long lost relatives at this warm and friendly little attraction. Lots of donkey waiting in the shade to be made a fuss off and then take youngsters (led by their parents) on a 30' stroll down to the lakeside and then back... More
