My husband and I took our grandchildren to this museum at Christmas on a recommendation from a co-worker. It was such a wonderful experience for us and the children with many hands on activities for them and the holiday train displays. We will definitely take them back when the weather warms up as there is a playground area for the... More

The Behringer family owned a large plot of land high on a hill in Covington, KY. They built a very nice summer estate there. Eventually it was deeded over to the City of Covington and eventually became a museum of local artifacts collected over the years. It's not the Smithsonian by any means but it displays various local transportation modes... More

This museum has 4 floors with exhibits of trains, transportation history of the area and some odds & ends like a two headed calf. It costs $9 each to enter, but it does take a while to get through the exhibits. The museum is certainly worth a visit, and particularly in Christmas season due to the special train exhibit.

This is a transportation museum that has plenty for young and old alike to experience. There is everything from airplane to horse drawn transportation exhibits, train displays, a two-headed calf, a chopped up convertible, etc - and most of them are hands on. An amazing amount of fun stuff to see and do, and there is a great outdoor play... More

I took my 5 yr. Old grandson today and we had a blast. Since he was basically the only kid there, he got to play with the trains, for quite a while. His favorite, however was the steamboat on the 3rd and 4th floor. He dressed up as captain and engineer, went fishing and loved the buttons that imitated, various... More

This small museum is located in a park to the west of downtown Covington in Devou Park. Transportation was the general theme though some exhibits like the two headed cow and the shrunken head didn't exactly fit in. Highlights for us included the model train layout, lots of information about the Ohio river including its river boats and floods, and... More

If you have kids and want to just let them go and explore a great little museum this is the place to take them. The museum is small enough the you can just let them roam and enjoy the exhibits. The train display in the lobby is great fun you can climb under the display and look at the display... More

When you first walk into the front door there is a great trolley or cable car. Visitors are allowed to go inside the trolley and see what they looked like up close. The museum centers on the history of travel and industry in the Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky area. They have an annual Christmas train display that is a "must-see." The... More

This museum is in Devou park, in Covington Kentucky. Was a little tricky to find. Museum is nice but needs more exhibits.

A spectacular spot in Devou Park. Quaint, fully packed, informative historical museum. Don't miss this. In addition, on Thursday evenings during summer you are able to have dinner and enjoy local musicians while sitting outside reveling in the view. Go. Go. Go. Enjoy life
