A lovely peaceful break.. away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The friendly hospitality and homely accommodation was awesome. I am definitely going back in the summer to experience the fruit picking and jam preserving. Thanks so much Johanna.

What a lovely experience! We had booked with the children for the beekeeping experience, but the rain came and Patrizia (Mrs. Farmer Redbeard) quickly made an alternate plan by involving the children in bread-making until the weather broke. When it did, we were able to aid in collecting honey from a hive and then extracting it from the honeycomb. We... More

Spending a day hands on - wine making was a most enjoyable experience. Experiencing the beauty and real farm hospitality on a grape farm in the mountains in Ashton. Worth a visit

The farm is a working farm and the young couple are passionate about their land and what they do. The farm has been in Farmer Redbeard's family for 300 years - so you get a... More

We had such a lovely weekend with the Farmer RedBeard clan. We went collecting honey with Albertus and tasted it and other varieties on wonderful home made bread. Dinner was with extended family, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The following morning we picked our own peaches to take home and make preserves. The accommodation was very pleasant with a fantastic view... More

We actually found this place by chance, and I'm glad we did. The opportunity to stay on an operating farm was one we wanted to experience. The couple who runs the various farm activities were friendly and made the whole experience exciting dispite incliment weather. My wife and I opted for the vineyard experience which included: 1. Coffee on arrival... More
