Such a great tour! Our guide was so knowledgeable and walked us through the entire facility. She gave us a lot of great information about the training process and we got to see the training in process. We would highly recommend the tour!

Our guide was very kind and entertaining. She gave us detailed explanation about everything, and answered all questions. We saw morning training at point-blank range, we touched horses in the barn, and we talked with horse professionals.

When I visited the center years ago, the training track was actually covered. Yes, with a roof over the track that the horses run on, so it could be used every day, in any weather. That roof is gone now. It's worth a stop in to just walk around and look. No charge.

swimming pool? If you have any interest at all in horses or racing then you will definitely enjoy this tour. Just watching the horses work out on the track is worth the visit and the price of admission. We spent almost an hour just watching horses do workouts and talking to trainers, riders, &c. There was also the question about... More

We spent the morning touring the thoroughbred center before spending the afternoon at Keeneland Racetrack. We had a lot of fun! Definitely worth seeing!

My friend and I took part in the a guided tour of The Thoroughbred Center on October 18, 2016. We are both from Ontario, Canada and have strong equine backgrounds. This facility is the real deal - an actual training farm that houses up to 1200 training horses. The tour was by bus and was approximately an hour and a... More

If you want to see how thoroughbreds are trained or if you just love horses this place is for you. We got to see them working on the track and we're able to talk to a trainer in his barn. He let us pet the horses. Our guide, Manuela, was wonderful. She clearly enjoyed her job and obviously wanted us... More

Passing through Kentucky, we decided to see something we have never seen up close--thoroughbred race horses...what an experience! We really enjoyed this! Our tour included time next to the practice track, where we were able to feel the pounding of horses as they galloped right past us. These horses are beautiful animals that require a lot of care and attention.... More

Our guide was great and very knowledgable. We saw everything that goes into training a championship horse from start to finish and had a chance to get up close and personal with many horses including one of the top horses in the world. The tour said 90 minutes but ours went a bit over 2 hours. We would do it... More
