Batter up! It takes a special place to craft the #1 Bat in Major League Baseball. At Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created.

The award-winning factory tour is a highlight of the visit here, but there's plenty more to enjoy along with it. Admire the World's Biggest Bat - stretching 120 feet into the sky. Hold bats actually used by baseball superstars like Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken Jr. And Derek Jeter. Face down a 90-mph fastball hurled by a major league pitcher. Count the homerun notches Babe Ruth carved into his Louisville Slugger bat for every home run he hit with it. Step into the batting cages and take some swings with a replica model of your hero's bat.

Guests even get a free miniature souvenir bat at the end of the factory tour. You can even create a bat with your own name on it, just like the pros. They make great gifts for all kinds of special occasions, from newborn babies, to groomsmen gifts, to team trophies and more. The museum store is also loaded with lots of sporty merchandise for every budget. Be sure to swing by!

Have to say, I'm not even a baseball fan, but enjoyed the tour. Visited mid January. I think two hours is plenty of time, unless you're interested in having a custom bat made for yourself. Reasonably priced. Enthusiastic tour guides. Very knowledgeable.

Keep in mind this is a working factory and the best and longest part of the tour is the tour of the factory. There is a short film as well. The museum is relatively small, one floor and you can cover it fairly quickly. You can hold a famous baseball players bat, which is fun. You can pitch. For a... More

The museum was awesome, from the batting cages, to the museum, to the tour. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We went on the tour of the factory and learned how they make the different bats first hand. The instructor was knowledgeable and nice. Also, the gift shop has a great variety of things to buy!!

Lots of great memorabilia and information on baseball, and baseball bats. I particularly like being able to order and customize a Louisville Slugger bat as a gift.

I enjoyed this tour. I found a lot of the information very interesting. I think the displays and information available for before and after the tour are very well done. If you are a big baseball fan, then this would be very fascinating. I am not a huge baseball fan and I always find local attractions are a neat thing... More

This is a stop that every baseball lover, no matter what team, should visit! I looked forward to this museum the most and it did not disappoint! They were making bats that day and you get to hold and be face to face with the pro's bats being made! Very informative and the museum is great!!!

Very cool tour and history of how this baseball giant started. Tour was very interesting , although the videos were a little redundant with what the tour guide was saying. Very cool to get to hold some of the different styles of bats, and get to take a nub they cut off one of the bats as a souvenir as... More

My wife and I decided to visit the Louisville Slugger Museum on the last day of our trip. Although we didn't have a lot of time, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We did take the guided tour which only lasts about 30 minutes. At each stop of the tour, there is a brief video that describes each aspect of the... More

We had a great time and history lesson. Perfect for a team stop before a tournament. Getting a bat with your name on it was a bonus!
