We have been Louisville Zoo members for years. This is a great place for children and adults. They have traveling shows, kids activities and camps grouped by ages, special events for holidays and long weekends and the splash park. The splash park is a life saver for hot summer days. The walking path is also a great way to get... More

What do grandparents do to entertain out of town guests, especially children? If you are fortunate to have a zoo nearby, this is just about the perfect place to take the family. While the winter is not as active with the numbers of animals, the ones that are there are very active and entertaining. We were able to luck into... More

You will enjoy the shade trees that line the walking route around the zoo. All kinds of snacks and food are on site and beer is served. The animals seem happy and are well cared for.

A very nice layout for a zoo. The animals were all out on the sunny day I was there and the zoo does a great job with the habitat. I was only able to spend 3 hours there, which wasn't quite enough. I will definitely be going back and soaking up more of the atmosphere and animals. I would highly... More

We decided to go to the zoo for something to do last minute. When we got there, most exhibits were shut down because it was too cold. But after going through some reptile places, it warmed up just great! We were amazed at the amount and variety of animals that were here! We would love to come back in the... More

Lots of species to be seen here, giraffe, gorillas, polar bear, lion, elephants, monkeys and the list goes on. Best to visit in cooler weather, fall or spring, because the animals are more active. The exhibits are well done, with great photo ops. Snack and food options aren't too pricey either. Splash park for the young ones can help you... More

We visited the Louisville Zoo while on our honeymoon. It was a fantastic little zoo! You can walk with some animals and feed others. The zoo isn't as difficult to navigate as others, and the zoo staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our day and this is a great place to visit while in Louisville!

The zoo has done an outstanding job of decorating for Halloween. There is so much more to see than just the animals. A great outing!
