Cool, attractive place to visit on a hot, humid day in Louisville. Places to sit and relax in each room. Good art, not many truly ugly modern pieces.

We went for the Thunder of Louisville, and it was a great time. Watched the airshow, ate at the different vendors. They had some great bands in the afternoon, then a great fireworks show that evening.

We visited this park while visiting a lot of the attractions in this historic town. I had lived in this area as a child for a year and it was nice to be able to revisit it. Great fun had by all.

We were walking around Louisville, staying at the Galt House and decided to stop at the park. Very relaxing and enjoyable place.

This part of Louisville for years was derelict and home to junk yards, drifters and ne'er do wells. The city has done a great job converting the space to a usable and fairly comfortable space. There is adequate free parking (lots and street). Two things...More

We had a great time at Louisville Waterfront Park! There is free parking, the park is clean, and there is plenty of space. If you need shade, there are nice areas under the bridges, and tree coverage over the swings.

Situated between River Road and the Ohio River is Waterfront Park. Except for the hottest days, there is usually a nice breeze to cool you off. There are walking/bike trails, groomed lawns, a splash park and playground for the kids. Lots of room here for...More

There are a couple of restaurants. Joe's Crab shack comes to mind. But I don't believe there is outdoor seating and dog friendly. If you go up a few blocks off of the river, there are up around Main street.

Thunder is, I am told, the largest fireworks display in the US. It is really incredible, especially when viewed from the nearby Waterfront. It is preceded by an afternoon air show, with lots of interesting planes (often... More
