I would say this campground is amazing. The grounds are nestled in the valley next to Kentucky River. The sites are spaced out enough that you don't feel like your on top of each other. During our stay we used site 10 which is a...More

If you're interested in a relaxing walk back thru time at your own pace this is the place. Each of the historical buildings offered a different glimpse of history. A very small store is on site. It was a bit pricey for the number of...More

Having the workers in period clothing makes the fort come alive. Lots of stuff to see and also has a great gift shop.

This was the second visit to the park. I love the fact that there are artisans dressed in period attire sharing info on how things were made. Those buildings were air conditioned! Aside from the heat, we had a nice visit.

Went there today. There is a short informative film that is interesting. You self tour the fort going from cabin to cabin. Some you just look in, others have actual people in period dress ding actual jobs from that period such as candle maker, cloth...More

I assume that the beach at the fort closes on Memorial Day, along with all of the pool closings!
