When I was 12 or so, I came here with my parents in the summer and rode the skylift to reach the top of the natural bridge. Today in 40 degree windy weather, at age 65, I hiked to the top. Oh, yeah!!! Beautiful. Saw 5 people on the trail up (Original Trail), had the top of the bridge formation... More

We hiked the arch trail on an overcast morning. The weather was ideal as it was only 55 degrees. There are lots of stairs so it may be easy to get overheated in the summer months. We had a hard time finding trail maps. I suggest printing them from the internet if you want to do any serious hiking as... More

Beautiful park. Not much else in the area going on. Pack food if you are going. Trails were well marked. We were disappointed that the Office for the park was not open in November. Hard to understand why it is seasonal. Hiking goes on year around for us. It was a nice trip for our Thanksgiving get away. Just check... More

My wife and I needed a break from city so we decided to visit. The resort was very comfortable and restaurant has reasonable prices and several options. Food was very good. Rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. Hikes in the park were relatively easy. The sights were great and no noise but the wind. Red River Gorge is 3-5... More

Outdoor fun for the whole family. Be sure to hike up to the bridge, the hike is worth it. Stayed in the park. Room was quiet, relaxing, and clean with a nice balcony to sit on. Restaurant in the lodge has great food all day long.

We were running a little late but hoping to get to the natural bridge in time to catch the best light for pictures. We stopped in the lodge for information and decided to ask if they still had rooms available. They did and thank heaven we stayed. Although some might consider it dated the lodge has been maintained beautifully and... More

Really beautiful park with such well kept walking trails. Visited over Thanksgiving and the weather was perfect for hiking, not too hot and not too cold. The trails here are well kept and a fairly easy walk. Of course there are stairs but the park maintains lots of places to sit along the way and they are covered which is... More

Few people brave the cooler months at Natural Bridge. You'll find amazing exposed rock formations hidden by the foliage during the other seasons. This is a special place to visit year round if you love the outdoors.

Wife, boys and I hiked the Original Trail up to the Natural Bridge Arch. Beautiful view from the top of the arch. We hiked down the Balanced Rock Trail as recommended. I wouldn't recommend hiking the trails the other way around as the Balanced Rock Trail is very steep. Both trails were 3/4 mile long.
