So pretty and worth the visit. Hundreds of trails to choose from and I highly think one should try the zip line as well.

I started at the one-way Nada tunnel and went around the gorge trail clockwise. Some things were closed as it was winter. There were a lot of hiking trails and overlooks. Road signage and trail length postings and directions could perhaps be a bit improved. Note that any gravel road might have holes in it during months of bad weather,... More

Breathing beauty this weekend. Primitive camping to cabins and the lodge available. Options for everyone. Worth the drive for a non commercial getaway.

I grew up in Menifee County and have enjoyed the Red River Gorge (RRG) all of my life. It is an amazing place to hike in all seasons. Winter is especially magnificent because the leaves are off the trees exposing the fabulous rock formations. The popularity of the RRG has been increasing at a fast pace in recent years. I... More

Super scenic hike. Along the ridge line with lots of scenic overlooks. 2 miles of moderate ups and downs to Courthouse Rock, where you can decide to turn around or loop back on Courthouse Rock Trail #202 or Auxier Branch Trail #203. These both go down and will require you to travel back up, so definitely a much more strenuous... More

The Red River Gorge, including the Geological Area and the Clifty Wilderness, are absolutely stunning works of nature. The area has a variety of short trails ranging from moderate to greater difficulty which sprawl across the Gorge. Anybody looking to visit the Gorge for a day hike can likely find a trail or a series of trails to suit their... More

Just spent a great day adventuring in red river gorge with our 3 kids (2,4 and 17). We drove the loop and stopped off to take photos at some of the lookout points and walk some of the trails. The trails/points of interest were clearly marked but it's good to do your research before you go to decide where you... More

I took a trip to Red River Gorge the last week of October to do some backpacking. First went to the Gladie Center to get a 3 day parking pass and a map of the area so I could hike and camp and explore the gorge. The fall is the perfect time for this in my opinion, other than it's... More

We didn't know what we were missing in not hiking here before. Most of the trails aren't too long. We did Rock Bridge, Angel Windows and Chimney Top Rock on this visit. The hikes were so rewarding. Do your planning to get the most out of your visit.

This place was recommended to us from family members in the area. It was a beautiful fall day and we decided to stop as we didn't know when we would be in the area again. We where pleasantly surprised and this exceeded our expectations. Definitely plan to return so we can spend more time and hike other trails.
