Always visit Mike’s Habitat on my visits to Baton Rouge. On my last visit, Mike VI had been diagnosed with cancer and subsequently passed away. Successor, Mike VII appears to keep the LSU tradition in great hands.

Visiting Mike was a great experience. Mike is inside a huge glass cage. It was fun to watch him swim in water and also take rest on land.

The exhibit is neat. But not being an LSU fan it's just a tiger. My youngest was sad for the tiger because he had no friends.

This is a great place to visit in Baton Rouge. Hopefully Mike will be awake and playful while you are there! While you’re at LSU, visit the Dairy Store on campus and get some ice cream

It was a nice day and Mike was out for picture taking. Make sure that you go up the ramp to the Assembly Center to see him from both sides. Also, he likes to sit up there.

You can visit Mike's habitat at anytime day or night. The best time to see him active is during the cooler part of the day. Hope you enjoy your visit. You will really be impressed with his large habitat.

If school isn't in session there are lots near the stadium large enough for an RV.

Mornings are best. Mike is also out on sunny afternoons but usually sleeping. On really hot days he loves to swim in the pool at his home...such a fun time.
