Autumn is beautiful
Oct 2019
There is not much time in Autumn for walking. There are a lot of roads on tops of nearest mountains and the views are breathtaking.

Carpathian Biosphere Reserve
Aug 2019
This primary beech forest has good well-marked trails and easy access. This is the largest primary forest in Europe and has not been cut. I wasimpressed by the size of the trees. There is good signage at the entrance and trails are well signed.

Not ready for tourist yet
Oct 2018 • Couples
It has many picturistic villages, and it has some very pretty valleies and peaks, but It has no visitor center, no information on how to hike and where to stay or even where to visit. No official or unofficial map available on webpage or in any store. Basically it is not ready for foreign tourist yet.

Daffodil valley
Apr 2016 • Family
On excursion we enjoyed spring blossoms and adores in daffodil valley - areas are covered with this gentle flower. entrance is extra. We walked but you may rent a horse cart. It is forbidden to walk on the daffodil fields, cut flowers, otherwise there is a penalty. No WC, no food or beverages inside. Outside there is like a fair where lots of souvenirs, authentic Carpathian clothes, honey, nuts, mushrooms may satisfy any demand.

The Beauty of the Carpathian Mountains
Aug 2014 • Friends
This wasn't my first time to the Carpathian Mountains but I wanted to see more of the area so I booked a tour guide through Adventures Carpathians. Bogdan was a young man from Ivano Frankivsk who had grown up in the area and had an extensive knowledge of the region and of the Hutsul culture, the peoples that inhabited this part of Ukraine. He also spoke perfect English.

He picked us up at our resort, the Koruna to begin our tour. Our drive through this beautiful part of Ukraine included the Trufanets Waterfalls, a mountain stream where locals collected fresh mineral water, a trout farm and the Centre of Europe, although Bogdan told us that other countries also made this claim to fame. At the Center of Europe stop was a restaurant where we were treated to an authentic Hutsul meal. Part of the tour brought us close to the Romanian border. We ended our tour with a drive through the Bukovel Ski Resort which is one of the premiere ski areas in Ukraine.

If you want to see the natural beauty of the Carpathian mountains this is an excellent tour and Bohdan was a passionate guide who I would totally recommend. I also used him for a transfer back to Lviv.
