Fascinating informative museum. So much to learn here in its small quarters. Museum director Kathe Hambrick is a passionate font of knowledge. This museum deserves more recognition - Oprah, 60 Minutes - where are you?

There is a lot of information here, but the building is very small so there are exhibits everywhere and it made it look a bit too chaotic for me. Entrance is $5 per person and we spent about 30 minutes here.

Great place to visit! The museum is so educational. Kathe was very informative with all of her knowledge of the local plantations.

We drove from Morgan City to visit this museum and were so glad we made the trip. What a great place to view the history of slavery in the area. Great guide and would highly recommend that everyone take the time to stop. Allow time...More
