This museum is the local branch of a large system of sites that house the world’s largest private holding of original documents and manuscripts. The library provides special educational programs and lectures.

Your experience depends on when you go and the type of exhibits at that time. Sometimes they have been pretty dull. The building is old and beautiful. The amenities are not that great.

I wasn't excited about my first visit to the Karpeles -- looking at a bunch of documents did not sound very interesting to me. But it's not just documents. There are lots of other interesting exhibits here. And the building itself is spectacular. Tucked away...More
