The Honey Island swamp tour was well worth the long bus drive. The company did a wonderful job of a seamless pick from our hotel to hopping in our boat. Our tour guide through the swamp, Capt. Al was extremely knowledgeable and we really enjoy his witty sense of humor. He really worked hard at getting us back in the... More

There are several Swamp tours with the same name apparently. But the one on trip advisor was the best. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and well prepared to lure the wild boar, and red tailed raccoons out to see us. He went around and around trying to sneak close to blue herons for our photo opportunities. We never regretted that... More

I was in New Orleans with a group to celebrate a friend's birthday. We took this tour on a Saturday. We took the shuttle from Cajun Encounters which picked us up at our hotel. It's a 45 minute ride out to Slidell from the French Quarter. Our bus driver Alligator Mike was friendly and very informative on our drive out.... More

We took this tour in January. Apparently the alligators were "hibernating". I guess they don't do that at gator farms. We were warned (after we paid) that there would likely be no gators on our tour. They were honest. Not a one. A few wildlife sightings including a heron and a pig. Everyone got excited when a few raccoons approached... More

This tour was interesting but they should be straight with you when you book and say if you want to see a gator in Dec go to the zoo. This is not to say the tour was bad but more about seeing the plant life in the swamp. Bus driver was awesome and I learned a lot from him. Shot... More

My Husband and I took the small boat tour on November 1 and were so pleased with it. We saw many alligators, turtles and even some Racoons. The Bayou scenery is amazing especially with the beautiful spanish moss hanging from the trees. Our guide had a lot of knowledge of the area and was very informative as well as humorous.... More

We were guided by Captain Al who was quite funny and entertaining and very, very knowledgeable. He answered all questions patiently and regaled us with hilarious and impressive personal stories. We saw some alligators and a raccoon, many strange flora and heard lots of fascinating history of the area. We even got to hold a live, little turtle that Captain... More
