My friend and I who are Carers booked a table to enjoy a Christmas day out together before the holiday period. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the refurbishment that had taken place; it looked so fresh, bright, warm and cheerful. The restaurant was busy and we were shown to our table. We eventually ordered; the staff were... More

We have been calling a few times since July but the Country Mouse staff are cold and not very welcoming tho the menu is good and cakes delicious. There is a new tea room called the Manor tearoom which is very welcoming for tea coffee and cake. Shops are very hit and miss. Newer shops are not as good as... More

We have often visited Brimstage Hall and enjoyed its quiet atmosphere and range of delightful and unusual shops. However, on our recent visit, we were very disappointed. Our two favourite shops had both been closed. The magnificent Voirrey Embroidery shop has moved to Carr Farm Garden Centre in Meols, but don’t bother to follow it there as it is only... More

The weather was horrendous but we still had a fantastic time exploring brimstage maize. There are 3 different maizes with a different time frame. There are clues along the way too. There are also indoor/outdoor activities for the kids apart from the maizes. Can be difficult to find look out for brimstage hall/craft and pull in - it is just... More

A friend and I had lunch here last week. I have been visiting The Country Mouse Restaurant with various friends over the years. On arrival we sat at our table which I had pre-booked and waited longer than usual to have our order taken but the restaurant wasn't that busy. I asked one of the young waiters would she take... Have been to Brimstage Hall several times over the past few years. This trip, sadly the craft centre has relocated and yet again the shops have changed hands. The newcomers are ok but nothing to make you want to shop till you drop, and many were closed. We settled for afternoon tea and the round circuit walk to Thornton Hough... More

First time visit with my wife and daughter. Very disappointed with this Restaurant. Sorry had to give it a one circle rating as I couldn't go any lower. The restaurant and surrounding buildings are very pleasant and in a nice setting. I ordered a milk shake for my daughter. Cream Tea for my wife pot of tea for me. Milk... More

Calling into Brimstage Hall whilst in the area we decided to stop for some lunch. My wife chose the homemade soup (as stated on the menu). It was clearly straight out of a tin and when mentioning it to the waitress she agreed that it was. The Brimstage butty was only just acceptable but not what you would expect to... More

Called in on Monday to visit shops and restaurant. One very nice shop called The Olive Tree. Unfortately a lot of the shops were closed, no mention of this on their website. We then made the mistake of going to the restaurant for lunch. Cosy little restaurant with added space in the pleasant garden. All spoilt by appalling service. Staff... More
