Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Terrible cinema! They have increased prices on everything and made all food items smaller. And now they’ve stopped turning ion the heat, presumably to save on gas costs, but the place is unbearably freezing trying to watch a movie. Definitely stay away from here and wud leave zero stars if I had a choice

I have been a regular customer here from its opening. For the last 4 years I have received a gift voucher from my family for 2 tickets every Christmas. The tickets we were given in December 2013 had a 12 month expiry date.My wife and I visited this cinema on 18 occasions during 2013 and could have used these vouchers at any time however we had misplaced them.We found the tickets when we were putting the tickets we received for Christmas 2014 into a drawer in January. We went to the cinema on Sunday 1st February and took both sets of tickets with us.I explained the situation at the pay kiosk and asked would it be possible to use the tickets from Dec 2013 as we are regular customers and they were only 5 weeks past there expiry date.I was told this was not possible so I used the tickets from Dec 2014 and asked could I speak to the manager. The chap told me that there was no point as the manager would tell me the same thing.I said I would still prefer to hear that from him.It transpired that there was no manager on duty however we spoke to a supervisor and explained the situation. He said he was not in a position to exchange the tickets for 2 valid tickets.I explained that we were regular customers and requested that he would have the manager call me on the Monday and I left the tickets with him with my phone number.I got a call on the Monday from an operations manager and again I explained the situation however he said there was nothing he could do.I asked him if he could pass on my details to the director and ask him to give me a call however his response was that the director owned 22 cinemas and wouldn't take the time to contact me.I asked him to pass on my details in any case.As I write this review I am still waiting on a call. This cinema has received £13 for 2 tickets and no service has been provided yet they are happy to annoy regular customers with their stance. As a result of their actions they have lost my family circle who were all regular customers for sake of 2 cinema passes.Unbelievable. Let's hope they donate the £13 to charity.

Went here to see Now you see me 2 last night. Got to the cinema a bit late, probably just as the film was starting. The girl said there are only seats in the front row left and I thought it's not ideal but what the hell. What she should have said was there are two seats in the front row and I must go through this safety warning first before you can buy the tickets, you will more than likely experience a mild form of claustrophobia as the screen is a mere 1 meter from your face and you will almost certainly be rendered temporarily blind, left with a broken neck and a banging headache. The seats aren't even attached to the main seating area, I'm fairly sure they had some empty space at the front and just fitted a few extra seats for good measure. They should be banned on health and safety grounds. Having said all that I've been to this cinema before and it's great if your sitting elsewhere. 👍🏻

The new IMAX is great - especially for the important big screen events like star wars movies or westerns. Parking is generally ok - but do go there early just in case. There are lot's of food places outside the cinema but a limited food supply inside. I will be back as it is a good standard and the staff are nice too.

Went to Dundonald Omniplex last night - The adverts before the movie were far too loud.
I had to put tissues in my ears and today my ears are still sore. The adverts were so loud I asked for the volume to be turned down. Told it wasn't possible. People had their hands over their ears. Not a relaxing enjoyable experience in my view. Very unfortunate as going to the cinema should be a real treat. Certainly won't be bringing my children here. Save your money and hearing and watch at home instead.

The ice bowl is a lot of fun and it’s cheery music and good DG make it a good old fashioned family event.
It could do with a facelift but it might lose its charm

Honestly best cinema around. Booked online first picked the seats and took in the Avengers Infinity War midnight screening in the Max screen.
Popcorn perfect, seats, layout and everything else great.
Best cinema around-only drawback first screening in the day all popcorn is cold so just keep an eye on that one...

Dundonald omniplex is a great addition to Dundonald. The cinema itself is modern, clean and always buzzing. They show all the latest releases at decent prices and have a fully stocked shop for all your cinema-going needs! The staff are always friendly and helpful as well. The surrounding area has lots of great restaurants and cafés.
