I visited Nottoway in Jan '17 for a business meeting. I stayed overnight in the overseers cottage. The room was nice, could use a little patch-up work and updating but it was clean. Bathroom the same. We utilized the conference room for the two day...More

I visited this attraction as part of a day tour from the American Queen. It was the last stop on a seven-day itinerary and was the most disappointing of all the excursions. The main house is far less grand than other Southern LA plantations. Most...More

I'm sorry you felt our house was far less grand than the other plantation homes you had visited on your journey throughout southern Louisiana. Here at Nottoway, we strive to showcase our grandeur, and it is fairly easy to do so since we are the...More

Tour guides dressed up in period costumes give informative tours of the mansion and explain why this mansion survived the civil war. Breathtaking views of this plantation from the Mississippi River levee. We went early in the morning when it opened and were the only...More

We stayed at Nottoway Plantation as part of our honeymoon trip. We received complementary tour tickets on arrival. The tour of the main house was excellent, very informative. The tour guide dresses up, which is a lovely touch. The place itself is so beautiful, it...More

This historic building is very well kept and beautiful to visit and get a feel of the history of this area. Survived the Civil War with only one cannon ball hitting the building. The tour is very well presented and the guides are very knowledgeable...More

Had a Groupon for this Plantation which we visited on our way to New Orleans. Interesting historical tour; beautiful house and grounds. Restaurant looked wonderful but we didn't have time to dine there.

The Nottoway web site appears down. What are the hours of operation and how long does the tour take. I'm trying to plan trips to multiple plantations in a day and trying to coordinate all the driving. For instance you can reserve the tix for Houma's house online.
