Our bus trip visited this small village/museum. It was informative and showed a historical time that we need to see and remember. The antique car display was a very nice representation of old vintage vehicles. We actually visited a couple days before their official opening...More

This was fun. Antique Trains and Cars. A little village of old items (not just trains). We got lucky and the same day they were having a Antique Car Show (people drove in to show off). My father-in-law was with us so we had someone...More

You did pick a great day to visit. We do remember how hot it was that day, not at all typical for Maine even in July! But we had a huge showing of fun cars in and out throughout the day and I am so...More

The village was all decorated for Christmas and kids of all ages. Although it is a small attraction this time of year there is still plenty to do. Every kid was thrilled to see Santa and put their letters in his sack, make an ornament...More

Alberta, Thanks so much for joining us for our North Pole Express event. It's probably our favorite event all year long. We're so glad you and your family had a great time and flattered that you thought to post a review. We hope you'll come...More

This was a stop on our rail tour of New England and in this respect, it did not meet our expectations. It is only a tiny preserved line that had to run around the grounds twice in what felt more like a Disney kids ride...More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Our purpose-built, demonstration train ride is certainly not equal to some of the superior excursion rides available in New England including Conway Scenic and Mt. Washington Cog. It was built purely to allow visitors the...More

We love places that will allow us to bring our bassets and this is one of them. They helped is get them on the train and as we rode around they had as much fun as we did looking at all the old trains and...More

I was out of the office the afternoon you visited but I have seen dozens of pictures of your gang of rescued bassets. Thanks so much for visiting and for taking the time to post a review. We do love dogs!!!

This beautifully run village is a lot more than meets the eye from the road. In addition to the charming 1934 steam locomotive that runs the passenger train, there are buildings with artifacts from a bygone era. The building with 60 antique cars and firetrucks...More

Visited with my dad and had a ride on the rail bus and walked around the antique autos which are first rate vehicles. Great place.

It was a gray and rainy day but they were running the steam engine so we stopped by and stayed awhile. Not only is there a short but very pleasant train ride with a very friendly crew, but the model train exhibit was first class...More

Thanks so much for writing a review and for taking a chance on us! We hear the story time and again that folks aren't quite sure about us from the road but once inside we generally win you over!

So glad you found us! We know we have other bigger, newer attractions nearby that get more attention but we really are a great place to spend a day and have a meaningful and fun experience with Maine history!

Fun ride on the small trains that used to serve Maine timber industry. Also an excellent model railroad with models of old Portland. Also restored village.
