Great time with a 45 minute trip from Boothbay Harbor to Cabbage Island, a narration By the captain on a small boat holding about 50 people, but it's the meal when you get there, that is the killer....Sitting on the many tables with the view of the harbor,is When the food procession starts...The clam chowder is first, served to you... Cabbage Island Clambakes, run by the Moore family, is definitely #1 on my list of best ways to experience Boothbay Harbor! We boarded the Bennie Alice (named after the family's matriarch), and were treated to a 50-minute tour of the harbor, where the tour leader did a great job telling us the history of the harbor islands. Upon arriving at... More

You can't have a New England trip without having a clambake and Cabbage Island cruise is the place to do it. The island is a small, family owned and have been welcoming people for clambakes for years. Be prepared to eat until you burst! You get 2 Maine lobsters (pretty big ones too), a big bag of steamed clams, corn... More

Be sure to make a reservation! We loved Cabbage Island Clambake because it was not simply a "lobsta" meal and was not same old boat tour of Booth Bay, but a wonderful two for one Maine experience. Well organized, good food (2 sweet tasting soft shell lobsters), beautiful views of the area, and a very personable owner. Be sure to... More

It was a wonderful experience. Had a great time. Good food, good service, great company of others, nice boat ride to the island, and everyone working on the island was very friendly and helpful. You have to try this at least once while visiting Boothbay!

For $65 you get about a 45-min boat ride out around the bays there that includes a fairly up close look at an old lighthouse, & a 2-lobster/steamed clam dinner. It's a good value if that's a package type experience you're looking for. Nit-Picking: I've had better lobsters & clams recently & the bathrooms out there leave a lot to... More

We called the day before & were on standby and went down to the window booth at 11 a.m. on the day of departure and were able to get... More

We booked this clam bake based on Trip Advisor reviews. For $65 per person we had a 45 minute narrated tour of the bay and an incredible meal. Each of us had fish chowder, steamed clams, two lobsters, a baked potato, an ear of corn, and a delicious piece of blueberry cake. Such a deal! This is a family owned... More

The island, and cruise are great. The chicken dinner is lacking and the people at the ticket booth are very rude. The blueberry cake is awesome.

Fifth year in a row for us. Always excellent food. Excellant service. Nice scenic ride over on their boat. They accommodate families, elderly, children -everyone. Very clean and well kept grounds. Absolutely everyone is friendly, warm and welcoming. Matriarch still greets and thanks everyone for coming along with several family members. Will definitely go again next year.
