First Saturday of Springbreak. This small ski resort has 1 major lift to the top. Lots of snow over last week has created awesome conditions. Nice mogul runs & easy glides as well. Stay for the sunset & night skiing for spectacular photo ops. Priced right if your doing just evening ski.

Plenty of trails, very good pub and restaurant, and helpful staff just 50 minutes north of Portland. Strong youth programming means very crowded base lodge most week nights. One of the most picturesque view of the mountain from Route 302 across Moose pond. They need a sign off Route 302 as the view is your only warning that you are... More

This is was my first time ever skiing and Shawnee Peak was a great introduction. It is suitable for a day trip up to the mountain, we were able to rent the gear for a reasonable price and got a good discount on lift tickets as it was New England Day. It was very quite in the morning (midweek) which... More

This mountain is great for families with young children or beginners. Highly recommend going in the am during the week if you're skiing without children as all the school kids head to the mountain in the afternoon when school lets out. Also fun for night skiing.

Shawnee Peak is a smaller ski area, but very well managed. Most trails are groomed and the lodge is attractive and clean. It's also only about an hour from Portland.

Shawnee is a great family friendly mountain. The staff are friendly and treat everyone like family. It is safe for the kids, challenging enough for the teens and social fun for the grown ups. Great hours of opening, quality ski school and small and friendly atmosphere. Sneak up for a few hours or stay all day.

Friendly staff, nice family trails. Lots of snow this year. Bring your own sandwiches as food tends to typical cafeteria stuff. Accommodations all over Bridgeton.

I loved Maine in the summer! We Georgians welcome Mainers to Georgia in the winter, so I thought that I would try Maine in the summer....I was not disappointed. While the slopes were quiet, the condos were not far from town and there was a restaurant around the corner on the highway. I could sleep with the windows open and... More

Stayed at the bunkhouse at East Lodge during fall colors weekend trip in October 2016 I will give the place 4 star. Spacious comfortable place. Nice view of the ski mountain slope. 30 mins drive from white mountains makes it good for fall color visit. The room with 5 sets of bunk beds is even good for adults. That what... More

Visited the first week in February, snowed all day while we were there. The trails were decent and all the lifts were open. The fresh snow did make it a little bit difficult, but I'm sure after the snow was groomed it was really nice. I had bought tickets from Liftopia, only to find out that they had a special... More
