Beautiful little lighthouse in residential community

Hard to get to and blocked off to public traffic, you can at least get a glimpse of it from a residential road - it is a cute, typical New England lighthouse, very picturesque.

I visited on a heavy fog day and was not disappointed. The heavy surf was a beautiful backdrop to the Light house. Great photo spot.

Technically I think they are the front and rear range lights. Both are on private property. The Cape Elizabeth light has a great view from the end of Two Lights Road. The other is up a road into a residential area. Unique situation. Cannot be seen from Two Lights Park. Great place to take photos. Shore view great as well.... More

Went here with the family. Place was packed with tourists and wasn't crazy. The place was clean, spacious and busy. Great for all ages. We brought a sport stroller - easy to get around the trails (only one trail). One of my best day adventures in awhile.

Located on Coast Guard property, access is restricted, so, most often you have a limited view of the lighthouse itself. But the rocky coastline at its base is beautiful. It reminded me of The Burren in Ireland. Amazing!

You know that you have become hopelessly addicted to lighthouse photography when you cannot move more than 2 feet in any direction without pointing the camera again towards the lighthouse, in search of that perfect combination of light and color. This is one of those lighthouses. The rocks are right, the water is right, the coast is right, and the... More

Actually not a lot to do here, but just beautiful to see. This is the most classic of light houses. It has beautiful water views with a rocky shoreline. This is where Forrest Gump ended his cross country run. There are letters painted on the rocks commemorating the wreck of Annie Maguire. There is a rock indicating a place where... More

Very scenic area. We made this our first lighthouse we visited while in Maine. It is the oldest lighthouse in Maine built by George Washington and also the location where "Forrest Gump" ended his cross-country run in the movie of the same name. We also walked down to the Goddard Mansion built in 1958 by a successful lumberman. Enjoyed walking... More

What a beautiful light house! So scenic! I loved the waves crashing on the rocks below. I visited the store too and bought my calendar for next year. Light house! I wish I has bought the small framed winter scene of that light house while I was there. It's cheaper than than online.

Beautiful lighthouse and grounds. Maintained by volunteers. Small museum and gift shop. Gorgeous cliff walk.
