Make sure you walk around to look at the artwork and the "raw" materials throughout the property. We spend 10 minutes in the store and 50 minutes walking around.

Nervous Nellies is off the beaten path, but worth beating a path to. We stopped hoping to find a cup of coffee and instead found a fantasy land that highlights the owners imagination and creativity. There are scads of whimsical sculptures and objects d’art in...More

We were traveling with friends and they wanted to bring back some treats to their married children. We went on a whim and were amazed. We returned three days later with our adult children who spent over an hour investigating the art throughout the property....More

Nervous Nellie's, slightly off the beaten path (or the main road to Stonington), provides an assortment of sweet tooth favors. It is surrounded by some odd structures and displays, reminiscent of a Steven King novel.

This is literally a life work for the sculptor, Peter Beerits. The fusion of "junk" with organic wood and real buildings is -- in a word, astounding. It is entertaining. It is serious without being self-absorbed. It even affected my dog, who started barking nervously...More

This is the life work of a dedicated artist. He has reconstructed an old west town with inhabitants and oh so many details, plus a lot of eclectic buildings and characters. Don't miss it!

Every year we visit Nervous Nellie's just to see what Peter Beerits' clever and multi-talented mind has thought up to place in his Maine version of fantasyland. From a grown-up version of his boyhood toy town to a magical mystery tour through the woods Peter's...More

We have been here many times since 2004 and always find something new to enjoy. The place sells wonderful Jams and jellies on one hand and then is a great display of all kinds of artwork or sculptures to be more exact. Each year another...More

Brought my grandchildren as they were visiting and for some reason had never actually gone after all these years coming here. I had only bought the jellies in the local stores. Adorable and quite unique. I love the idea that the owners have turned what...More
