Passed many times and finally stopped. So pleased I did. The Georgetown potters have three locations, but this is where it is created. You can watch talented artists hand paint decorative pattern onto the pottery. Beautiful design. My favorite were the birches design

We loved watching the potters at work at Georgetown Pottery. We purchased some lovely bowls there. Many beautiful pieces and they have a web site that is worth checking out if you are not in the area to visit them person.

After our trip to Five Islands Lobster Co. ( see separate review), we stopped in the pottery store. The pottery is beautiful. They have unique pieces to fit every taste. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is all local artisans and not only do they sell pottery, but they have jewelry, and other items as well, but all local.

The store and shop have a great selection of all things pottery including dishes, lamps, bowls and vases. There are several themes to pick from and items can be shipped or ordered for shipment. It has the workshop for viewing . We enjoyed watching an artist prepare a scene, freehanded on a large vase. It also has a gift shop... More

We visited on a whim as we love pottery and were passing by. They have a large selection, nicely displayed. The young woman working was very helpful and friendly. You can see the artists at work creating the beautiful items. We purchased six small ice cream bowls and a beautiful sugar bowl that I just unpacked and I love them... More

Consistent and dependable pottery! A favorite place for presents - for your self or others. Easy to find beautiful and affordable wedding presents such as a bowl or a lamp, and pick-me-up presents for self or friends' and family birthdays - the mugs are pleasers! Need a tide clock? This is your place!

I love going there and just take my time and look around. They also have a place in Portland. I have gotten some really nice pottery to go with my china.
