First time here. TONS of well behaved dogs! Place was clean. We walked about 4 miles in here. Very easy walk. We climbed some forts, walked along the water Trucked in some snow. Very peaceful. Nice views. If you are an outside person and enjoy nature and history this is a great spot.

We enjoyed a lovely family picinic and swim . The views were fantastic and to our surprise a wedding was taking place . Enjoyed watching all the festivities . Took a nice walk around and onto the pier for some great photo ops . People around enjoying the day .We chose the side of the park that allowed dogs .Fun... More

A beautiful shore side park with lomg walkways and incredible views out to the Isle of Shoals. Lawns, walks and beaches for Luna to run leashed and unleashed. Lighthouses, harbor views and many benches for memories to rest wearied legs. PArking just outside the gate and so many dogs who brought their himans the day we visited. Our walk and... More

On a blazing-hot August afternoon we decided to flee the concrete jungle that is the Kittery outlets for some relief. Were directed here by a local. Only really made use of the beach but as other reviewers have stated there are walking trails, playground, bbq areas, etc. VERY beautiful setting. Amazing beach. Oh yeah, and COLD COLD COLD water!

Fort Foster isn't your typical sandy beach and if that's what you're looking for, I would suggest going to Long Sands in York instead. Fort Foster is AWESOME though! It's really fun for all ages. You can't always go inside the fort, but you can always climb around on top and around it. There is a nice picnic area, a... More

On the road to Ogunquit, turn right and follow signs to Fort Foster. Stop at barrier and park. Walk past (or under) barrier, walk down main path, take first left and follow for a while until you see a path down to shore, then follow well made track along shore until you get to jetty. Great scenery, lots of birds... More

Beautifully kept park with plenty of different environments... birch forests, rocky beach, marsh, all with easy to maneuver trails. In the Fall, the park "closes". Which means that it's free and there are dozens of people who enter under the closed gate. The views of the ocean on the pier is superb. And there are hundreds of places to find... More

Fort Foster is absolutely beautiful. There are places to bbq, trails to walk, small playground and beaches to play on. I've been going for years for family gatherings and just hanging out. Love it here! Great place for family events.

We found this place looking at good maps. As we approached the gate, we were greeted by a guard requiring $10 to enter. We were hesitant to enter but gave it a shot. What a place!! Bring you beach stuff for the day!!! Bring your walking shoes for the trails, and bring your camera for the sights. There is a... More

A new place we decided to visit. Excellent views of the ocean and surrounding lighthouses. Some of the fort is still there to view and see what may have taken place in the past. A few beach and other water access areas. A pier to walk out over the water to get better views of the surroundings. It was something... More
