Gorgeous walk up the terrace and the gardens were spectacular. Very peaceful. Hidden gem. Heard about it from my innkeeper. Short drive away from Asticou Azalea Gardens - both are highly recommended.

The dahlias were in bloom and gorgeous. I took lots of pictures of them which is something I normally would not do. So many colors and so many different flowers, but mostly dahlias. We were there in October. Evidently there are two parking lots. We...More

This is a little out of the way, but our innkeeper told us about this lovely garden. We visited in mid October, but there was still plenty to see. The gardens are lovely and carefully designed to blend into the natural surroundings. A good variety...More

This is another spot that offers some nice contrast to the overwhelming vistas of Acadia. We ended up driving to the parking lot at the top and exploring the trails, including the one to the lot on the road. There were still some beautiful flowers,...More

We walked up from the lower car park and whilst it was 200 steps were not disappointed at the views we glimpsed on the way. Lovely gardens and house. Well worth the visit.

The Thuya Gardens are very beautiful and a nice change of pace from the crowds of Acadia and Bar Harbor. There were many flowers in bloom--even in September. We saw humming birds and tons of butterflies as well. We hiked up the terrace side of...More

Took this hike since it was rated easy. Had done a moderate hike earlier. Really wasn't much of a hike. I didn't go to the gardens. There was a suggested entrance fee of $5 for that so i chose not to do that. there are...More

There is access to trails that take you into Acadia and directly to Jordan Pond from this garden. Make time to visit the house and consider packing a picnic to enjoy in the gardens.

This is another place I always visit. It is small botanical garden. I love all the flowers and sometimes the bees and butterflies around there. It's best to go there between memory day and Labor Day. I was so lucky to caught some many butterflies...More

Thank you Rockefellers and others that made and make this incredible garden possible. Pink granite steps lead up to lookouts and phenomenal gardens with incredible landscaping, crafted wood structures, fences and beautiful healthy species including succulents, mosses and flowers.
