I visited with my kids in September. Parking is expensive, but it is there ($20 for few hours). We came in on the trolley which is much cheaper and was convenient. And we also walked in along the marginal way from our hotel. There are small shops (many) and you are on the water. there is a pretty drawbridge and... More

Tucked away off of RT 1 at the end of Shore Road you'll find Perkins Cove. A great place for dining, sight seeing, harbor cruises, shopping and walking the Marginal away. Easily accessible via the trolley system or just a short walk off the end of the Marginal Way, any stay in Ogunquit isn't complete without visiting Perkins Cove. Beautiful... More

The traffic and crowds are horrible. The parking situation is ridiculous. The restaurants are mediocre. Avoid high season at all costs. At other times of year, the Cove has its charms, but all the shops cater to low budget tourists - buy your Ogunquit shot glass here! If you can overlook all this, the view is magnificent.
