Great beach for walking/jogging. Also the very shallow angle of the sands makes it a safe place to splash about in the water for all ages.

We always comment that it takes only a few minutes to relax from the sound of the waves - just need that ocean fix once in awhile along with that special rock or little shell. Love watching the dogs especially in off seasons.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful beaches ever! Sand is soft & water crystal clear. Can rent chairs & umbrellas right there. Also has a nice covered area to sit in chairs & look at beach. When it's low tide the beach is Huge! When...More

Wide open & beautiful, this beach offers the "beach walker" an endless opportunity to stroll & listen to the surf.

Beautiful beach within walking distance of the Trellis House where we were staying. There are beach restaurants, bathroom facilities, hotels on the beach.

This particular year in mid-September, the water was cool (55 degrees, I was told) and absolutely exhilarating! Sunsets were spectacular, the low tide left its magical 'sand etchings', and tidal pools reflected the brilliant sky. Maybe 20 people at most in view… very peaceful.

This beach is gorgeous. The sand is soft and you can go pretty far out in the water before it gets deep. Very scenic and beautiful.

Flat beach, lots of sand, cold, cold water. Try to avoid the $20 parking fee, however (not easy). Best in September, when the summer crush has ended.

If you get into the main lot it really depends if you want to sit on the ocean side beach North end or the river side beach south end. We like to park on the ocean side and if possible the first row. I say the first row... More
