This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the northeast I have ever been to. You can walk great distance and when you are ready to sit, the views are wonderful. One island you can walk out to at low tide. I love it...More

The park's main attraction is Popham Beach which is a terrific beach. Wonderful sand and the beach stretches for over a mile. The tide goes out what seems like 300 or 400 hundred yards. A great beach to walk or just sit and enjoy. The...More

Lovely beach. Finer sand than most Maine beaches. We arrived at 11:00 on a Friday and there was still plenty of parking. Clean changing area and bathrooms. When the tide is out you can walk up on the rocks. The water was Maine cold but...More

In season, go early or go late, even on a weekday, as the parking lot fills up and then you are out of luck. I didn't know there were such large or such nice beaches north of Portland! Great surf, nice sand and good facilities....More

Great for quiet beach visit except on Summer weekend. Large, Sandy beach with opportunity to walk out to a rocky island at low tide. Limited services (food, gas, etc.) but it is not a typical tourist beach. Parking goes quickly in the summer. Get there...More
