Quarry Run is a great park to have here in Portland. A lot of city dwellers don't have yards to run their pooches and this park is a great place to do just that. It's completely... read more

This huge fenced in dog run delights dogs and kids alike. It's open dawn to dusk. There is a shelter on the elevated hill and a secret, giant fairy house style tee-pee, can you find it? Please pick up your pup's poop!

Quarry Run is a great park to have here in Portland. A lot of city dwellers don't have yards to run their pooches and this park is a great place to do just that. It's completely fenced in and safe to let your dog off leash and roam untethered. There's some walking trails but they are uneven and can get... More

This is one of our go-to spots for off leash walks. There are large fenced in dog runs if you want some play time with other dogs in an enclosed area. There is also a simple loop trail around what used to be an old landfill. The trail is wide and easy to bike or walk, even if there is... More

I appreciate the nature of this park. It's nice to have the greenery and trees in the city. I've been to this dog park a couple of times now, and it seems that large dogs dominate the area. I have a 12 pound Chihuahua and I bring him to the designated small dog area, but both times he was the... More

I have loved bringing my dog to this park for a few months. Generally the dogs are well-behaved and owners are very nice. Have had a couple instances when aggressive dogs are there, but have stayed on the trails away from the play area on those days. Today, two women had dogs that were more aggressive and they did little... More

The park is natural with trails around and over a hill. I thought it was a great setting, but there were mostly large dogs and the small dog area was not marked . The small dog section was so small I didn't realize what it was. I have a sturdy Pom, and could not keep him in the large dog... More

This was a great park for dogs and friends. It's very difficult to find - their sign is tiny and hidden. Once you are there, there are acres and acres to explore. There are well maintained trails, lots of places to run and explore from fields to woods. The other dogs there were well behaved, and most of the time,... More

Quarry Run is the only place in the area that has a separate fenced area for small dogs who often feel unsafe around large dogs--it is to your immediate left as you enter the driveway. The first gate on the left puts you in the large dog park. A secondary fenced area to the left after you enter that first... More

I have taken my mini dachshund to Quarry Run (small dog area) three times. First two times, no one else was there and Penny had no one to play with. Finally, today (Saturday) three others arrived between 1and 2. So I have started a meetup group for small dogs. Our first meet will be Saturday, November 9 at 1 pm... More

Well maintained park completely fences in with trails for all levels of exercise. Meadows, woods, rocks and creek beds. The wild flowers smell fantastic. Remember to bring your own water.
