Stopped by here doing a little walking tour of the area. We did the tasting of seven different meads, all were good, we were not real familiar with mead so this was a nice introduction. The building will be fun to watch as a brewery and distillery are planned to go in. They have a really nice chocolate lab that... More

We stopped by an hour before they were closing for the tastings, $7 for 7 different meade flavors. They all started to taste alike- there was not cracker, water or palate cleanser. Our hostess was clearly in a rush and even turned customers away that came 20 minutes before closing. She explained that she had been there before dawn and... More

My daughter and I decided to stop by and tried the Mead Flight for $7. Their product is very cool and tasty plus it is wonderful to try something that can taste so different. It gave a refreshing spin on things. They are smart and very informative and easy to talk and visit with. We had a wonderful time! Besides... More

Stopped by on a recent visit to Portland. We tried the mead flight for $7 and sampled seven different meads. The meads were delicious and each had a unique flavor. The staff person was friendly and very knowledgeable.

Have visited twice, and it was great both times! The mead is delicious, and the woman who owns the place (along with her husband) is super friendly and engaging. The tasting is affordable and fun, and the bottles make great gifts. My favorite so far has been the Apple Cyser, but I have yet to try the Strawberry!

Read about Maine Mead Works and was intrigued, had to give them a try. Dropped in today and we each tried a flight. Very innovative flavors and locally made. Fell for the blueberry mead, and the iced tea mead will become a summer staple in our home. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, we took home 9 bottles with the... More

We didn't go on a tour but they are available at 11:30 AM and 3:00 PM on Monday thru Saturday. We had the mead flight for $7 each and sampled 7 meads. I loved all of them, particularly the Lavender mead.

Didn't know anything about mead and have never tried it. This wonderful gem of a tasting room and mead making facility. We sampled many different types, flavors and learned about the process of continuous fermentation. Loved the samples and ended up bringing 5 bottles of deliciousness home with me!

First time tasting Mead and we learned a lot. We stumbled at this place on the way to another brewery and we are glad we did. The bartender was very knowledgeable and helpful. Tasting was a good price.
