A nice hike to a pretty waterfall and a long ravine. The map shows that the trail splits into two routes after the waterfall, one along the stream and another higher up on the ridge. However, it's really hard to find the one along the...More

Signage on route 4 is not very prominent and the access road is very steep but this is totally worth the effort. Short hike into the gorge leading to beautiful waterfalls. You can climb up to the top of the falls to see the view...More

I took one look at the access road to the trailhead and decided there was no way I was going to attempt it in my small motorcoach.

I agree with all the warm weather reviews. But my family especially loves to hike up the Cascade Stream Gorge when the temperature is in the single digits . . . or below! Fascinating ice cascades and a frozen waterfall, sunlight glinting through icicles--it's all...More

Nice hike with hubby and the dog. Some steep areas, some slippery areas. Mainly shaded. Overall easy to moderate hike. My 80 lb mixed pit bull did great hiking. Several areas to visualize the falls. Bugs were not heavy, a few mosquitos here and there....More

These falls are a great place to visit. Relatively easy access without a wheelchair, but wonderful palce to relax.

A series of waterfalls in a small river a few minutes outside of Rangeley, Maine (Rt 4). Small parking lot. It's a nice easy hike. There are number of spots to sit and enjoy the falls. Good photo ops. We visit every summer.

This is a really lovely hike. I had a knee replacement last summer and had no problem, I just had to take it slow in a few places. The views were better than I expected. The Cascade Stream Gorge Trail really is a gem.

Different levels of difficulty as you go. Got increasingly steeper near the falls. We couldn't complete the hike due to the posted notice at the trail head saying the land owners to the north were doing forest construction so we couldn't go past the falls....More

We did this hike this past weekend and all of us (2 adults, 2 kids ages 9 and 11, our dog) loved it. The trail was "fun" in our kids' opinion: lots of tree roots and rocks so you had to watch where you were...More
