We camped here for a long weekend and loved the location. The sites (ours was for a tent) were large and left plenty of room to park our truck and trailer. Great base camp for an adventurous weekend. The showers were the BEST state-park showers we've had - water temp and pressure were amazing! Lots of trails for hiking, easy... More

We drove through the park and it was worth the short drive and $6 fee per person just to see all the gorgeous fall colors. The camp sites are nestled in the trees and it's a photographer's dream. We didn't stay though, so I can only rate the scenery.

My husband and I camped here in August. The water sites are not in view of the lake but you can walk to it. There are powerlines that run through the campground - ask for the sites away from those as there is a wide swath right through the campground that sort of takes away the "wilderness" feel. Very accomodating... More

We searched Rangeley for a place to rent a canoe and stumbled onto this state park. Because we are residents of Maine and over 65, we didn't pay admission to the park. The canoe rentals were $4.00 per hour for the canoe, paddles and life preservers. The launch site provided easy access to the water. The lake is, of course,... More

We came upon the state park not realizing there was a fee for out of state vehicles. We were able to get a quick drive thru the campsites.

Tented in the campground here. Sites spaced well apart and very treed. Showers are free. There are two sets. The best is the solar heated building with ten individual shower rooms complete with toilet and sink. Showers are free. Bathrooms are close to campsites, so not far to walk in the dark. $50 USD per night, so a bit pricey.... More

Went here over 25 years ago and not too much has change except for a few extra facilities on site. Right on the lake so great if you enjoy camping and the water.

We camped at this park with an RV. The camping site was great, away from our neighbors but still very close to a great, clean bathroom with a warm shower! The view of the lake is beautiful -- you can actually see the town of Rangeley across the lake--, and there were several activities for the kids because it was... More

Spend a couple of days there just sitting at the boat launch relaxing. Pleasant staff who quickly let us in when they realized were local senior citizens just looking for a quite place to sit and watch the water. Grounds were well kept and signage good. You will not find a sandy beach here so will need to look elsewhere... More

Boat launching area. Swimming area with a dock and sandy beach. Playground for the youngsters near the beach and a bathroom. Warm is clean and warm this time of year.
