Very interesting

We enjoyed the history packed museum and learned a lot about the different types of Fresnel lenses used in lighthouses.

Lighthouses are always nice for a quick stop. We thought this one was very "cute" (as my wife says) and it is in really good shape. The caretakers obviously take great pride in it. Beautiful views and our dog loved wandering the area.

This was a short stop on our tour. We only had 45 minutes here, but given the amazing and vast collection, another 30 minutes would have been welcomed! It is chocked full of so much info, displays, memorabilia and personal stories that you really could spend hours taking it all in! It’s a fantastic place for lighthouse lovers and if... More

Nice place to stop and take a break if you are driving the coast or are just interested in Maritime items. Very nice museum. Enough information to be interesting. Takes maybe 1/2 hour (depending on your pace), to go through. Worth the stop.

This was an interesting stop. I love lighthouses and this was full of information about how they work, the people who worked I them for the past hundred years, and it was a great opportunity to learn about fresnel lenses. Small gift shop as worth a stop.

It was a rainy morning so we stopped in here, and so glad we did. After seeing many lighthouses along the coast we found the displays and information to be very, very interesting. The way the light crystals are displayed with small light bulbs in them but cast bright light helps you understand how the lights work. Nice little gift... More

Easy to find museum located in the same building as the Chamber of Commerce. The front part seemed like there wasn't going to be much to see then the back room opens up with an incredible number of lighthouse items, fascinating! Nice location near the harbor and not too expensive. Street parking nearby was easy. I'd plan on about an... More

The Maine Lighthouse Museum is well thought out with a lot of information and exhibits in a small space. Easy to access and very educational. A great experience for a very low cost.
