The lighthouse and Fort Preble are in the same area. The walk out to the lighthouse was very cool, watch your step!! You can not get into the lighthouse but you can get close enough to touch it.

My nieces and nephew (3, 7, 8 & 9) have lots of energy to burn and bringing them here is a good bet. They love climbing the rocks to the light house and let their imaginations run. Best to save this for good weather- rocks...More

One of the smaller lighthouses of Portland, ME. You are not allowed to walk out to the actual lighthouse. Nice view from the bulkhead.

Very scenic and pretty lighthouse located at the end of the breakers, you can walk out on the rocks, just be careful if they’re wet. Lighthouse was closed when we were there, but you can see the cruise ships if they are docked in Portland.

Really cool Lighthouse to check out if you're in the area! Beautiful views from this park. I did not walk all the way to the lighthouse due to it being so windy and cold. The walk to the lighthouse is large rocks and not 100%...More
