A small museum with art that has interesting stories. Ratner's biblical sculptures have incredible depth. He offers newer artists an opportunity to exhibit on the first floor of his gallery.

The sculptures of biblical context are spectacular. The needlepoints are stunning and the art work is interesting. We have driven by this museum for years before stopping in and I recommend this museum be put on your to visit list. It is free and worth the time to explore the art works. The art work can be viewed multigenerational and... More

A stunning collection of predominantly bronze statuary of epic proportions depicting stories from the Hebrew scriptures. About a mile from Grosvenor Metro, 2-3 miles from Bethesda station.

Museum is in a weird location, but is actually quite good. Totally dedicated to the works of Ratner, who works with cold clay to give life to moments of the old testament. Artist is on premises most of the time and gives quite enlightened perspective on the work

The sculptures are excellent and all have a biblical theme. The artist has been commissioned for numerous pieces and it was interesting seeing his sketches as well as plaster models before they were cast. There was also an excellent art exhibit there while we were visiting.

This private museum is a gem of biblical dimensions. I had never heard of Philip Ratner the artist nor of this museum. Our friends who have lived in Bethesda for years found it almost by accident and wanted to show it to us. Glad they did! Mr. Ratner is an amazing sculptor mainly of Biblical themes (Old testament judaica) but... More

A most "go to" museum. The artist is thought provoking and many times he is actually there. They offer classes and many opportunities to share.
