This would be a great starting point for a hiking or biking trip. We followed the Tow Path from Harpers Ferry.

Informative and a good stop top get orientated to the area. However, it was a little less hands on and informative as other sites we have visited. No guides.

The Park is collocated with the depot for the WMSR so it is easy to look around while waiting for your train ride. Not a lot to see but parking is easy and convenient.

Day trip with our daughter. We splurged and had lunch on the way up and coffee and desert on the way back. Cash bar for beer and wine, greenbacks only. Well worth the money for the beautiful sightseeing, plus an okay lunch not to mention...More

We were sooo impressed. It is a great learning experience in a wonderful hidden town. Get educated at the museum and then spend time driving the area to learn more. On a scale of 1 to 10 this is a 12.

The museum has a lot of artifacts, photos and information on life on the canal. It was noted that some of the audio listening devices were not operational. You can physically see the canal and a canal boat that was built in 1976. The museum...More

We very much enjoyed our visit here. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a nice gift shop which we found to have a nice variety.
