Antiques, food, jewelry, art, music, all in an easily walkable area with sufficient free parking. Not great for children unless a train is passing through, and then not for teens.

Plan at least 4 hours to see some of the shops. There are specialty shops (clocks, china, etc.) as well as many with a hodgepodge of variety. Price points range from 50 cents to the sky. I find that many times this is better shopping than a flea market and I often notice numerous buyers from outside the DC area... More

Very interesting and eclectic collection of shops all clustered in a Kensington neighborhood. Need a few hours to get through them all. Some thing for all tastes, scan, silver, vintage arts, old made new and more. Have fun!

We found few very nice places for photo shoot. Antique row is perfect place, even if it's sunny day, you can find the place I. The shade for few good pics. Also, all those little stores and coffee shops... You will enjoy this little world. Don't forget about the market on the weekend and buy vegetables from local farms.

We recently spent a Sunday afternoon looking for a few items at the Kensington Antiques Row. The shops have quite the variety. Many are well priced and welcoming others are pricey and one of the antique market buildings could only be characterized as cluttered, dusty and dirty. We go to Kensington occasionally and have periodically found what we were looking... More

Kensington's motto, is "Where the train still stops and the people still walk." Nice place to leisurely stroll and wanted in and out of the antique and boutique shops. Farmers Market at the Train Station on Saturday mornings.

Long standing collection of antiques shops lined up shoulder to shoulder along a couple of short blocks. Quality and value can accrue to those who know their way around the business. Great way to spend a rainy day for those who don't.

On both sides of Howard Avenue of Connecticut Avenue in Kensington, MD, you find these little antique stores owned by individual proprietors, which gives the place such a quaint and old-fashioned feel about it. I've furnished a few of my home furnishings from this place. Traffic isn't very heavy at all. I get my watch batteries here also in the... More

I've lived in Kensington for over 20 years and never get tired of looking at the shops on antique row. I've found a lot of 'treasures' over the years - although my husband has found the best ones. He takes a swing regularly through the Prevention of Blindness shop and some of our best buys has come from there. With... More
