This was a wonderful tour. Just a reminder if you visit off season to check the hours of operation, as they are shorter than during the summer. The docent was extremely knowledgable on Nickerson family history and gave a very informative discussion on the house and life during the early days of Cape Cod history.

The day we went here the program was cancelled. We were so bummed! Should have called ahead of time to see if they were open (even though according to the info online they should have been open). Looked like it would have been a fun historical stop too!

With knowledgeable docents and interesting historical facts, you can learn more about New England history and architecture in this museum conveniently located on Route 28 in North Chatham. This small well organized museum run by the Nickerson Family Association, a dedicated group of historians, is well worth visiting. Be sure... More
