a lovely canalside building which is well maintained. I have always found the proprietors to be most heplful when either speaking to them on the phone or face to face The shop is always fully stocked and I have bought several books from them two calendars annually Al the orders I have made by phone have been despatched on the same day. I shall continue to call in each time i go past either by boat or on my occasional journeys from Nantwich to Wolverhampton by road. Frank.

Lovely place just to look at. Bits and bobs to cheer us up. It was comfortable and the owner was so friendly. A lot of local crafts which you cannot buy anywhere in the country. Unique.

The converted mill is right next to the 'Shroppie Fly' so its another place to explore right next to the canal. There are multiple levels with a bit of everything, souvenirs, Arts Crafts, Books etc. We chose a small cross stitch of a canal boat as a small memento of our epic canal trip.

It has lost some of its lustre over the years. The previous owner had a crash of his light air craft. It was he and his wife who had made the place quirky and unique. It was pleasant then. Now it is just another shop.

Response from Peter S, Owner at Audlem Mill
Responded 7 May 2019
The previous owner left about 15 years ago, and there was a 18 month gap before we took over in 2007. We have put our own stamp on the shop, with lots of canal oriented gifts, books and maps, and we opened the first floor as a needlework shop, said by Visit Cheshire to be one of the best. We receive wonderful comments from many visitors, and canal guidebooks stress that Audlem Mill is the best canalside shop.
