What a place! I really enjoyed walking the grounds and the view from the back walkway was awesome. Sort of eerie but, a very unique place. I recommend it

We were able to walk around the outside of the castle and get some pics but it was closed for the season. Was so strange to me lol. I imagine its interesting inside. The grounds were cool.

I'm so glad that I was able to see Hammond Castle. Stunning views from the castle. I enjoyed exploring the castle and discovering new rooms. I laughed out loud when I learned the story behind the statue that the owner had made for his wife.

The grounds are Beautiful. A castle built along the cliffs off Gloucester with crashing waves below, gardens around and the moonlight shining over the eerie water with the sounds of fog horns blowing in the distance. Interesting stories about Hammond, who he was and what he invented. Unfortunate that the tour guides need more training or enthusiasm. There was more... More

This was a great rainy day activity but too many people had the same idea! Very interesting. The man might have been a bit odd but he was brilliant. Wish we could have walked thru the grounds as well but we were happy to be able to take the indoor tour w/a great tour guide, Becky?? ah dear, the memory... More

Well it was so astounding that it is difficult to determind if I liked it or no. Very surprising building. Once it was interesting and the story of the life of Mr. Hammond is quite interesting. Unfortunately the quide could have said much more about his work. If you have 1 hour free visit it but not to wait too... More

After many years of hearing about Hammond Castle, I finally made it there for a visit. And it was so much fun! A trip back into the past - the Castle is a treat to explore, with all it's nook and crannies. You can jump on a group tour, roam around on your own, or do both. We did both,... More

We were a group of 10. This was a nice surprise for us To see the history of this castle and it's magisty. There were surprises in every room. Dr Hammond was an amazing man well beyond his years in innovation and imagination. I loved the trickster in him. His wife also had many fine qualities and she was a... More

Unfortunately the castle was closed except for weekends which weren't addressed in the website at least in October. The place was pretty cool from the outside but that's all I got nice views

A medieval castle built in the 20th century, with an amazing view of the shore. It would suffice to see it from the outside, but inside it is even more interesting! Mr. Hammond must have been a very eccentric person. Many of the rooms were designed for him to play pranks on his guests. Each artifact and corner have interesting... More
