This is a great place to go on hikes. You can just walk up the road or use various trails. It’s a quick hike but relatively steep, so it definitely gives you a workout. And the views at the top are spectacular!

Very pretty spot. But beware, they close the road often, at least lately. I had to walk to the top, was I think 1.4 miles. Still very nice, and outstanding views from the summit.

The park says it's open but only sort of.... The road up is closed still for the season. There is a limited amount of roadside parking near the gate and then you can hike in. I was hoping to drive up...no luck

Checked the website which stated that it was open....Drove over an hour to get there, and the gate at the bottom of the hill was closed! VERY frustrating! Nothing on the site says that its seasonal. When it IS open the views are amazing. Usually...More

Came here to get a great fall foliage overview. I was so pleased to get to watch migrating hawks play in the thermals above the valley. We lied on the warm rocks at the top of Skinner and watched for a wonderful peaceful afternoon. We...More
