A great walk and shop area in the Cape

Hyannis, Chatham, Falmouth... these are the walk and shop spots of the Cape. Many stores to traverse through, but most share 50% of the same old tourist cheap stuff. But you never... read more

Like most Main Streets in urban America this one has lowered its standards and is full of junk stores and coffee shops along with gaudy jewelers shops

If you enjoy walking this is the place for you. Lots to do on Main Street, interesting shops and places to eat.. Grab yourself a lobster roll one of the restaurants. Stop in the Kennedy & Baseball museums it was interesting to learn all about President Kennedy and my husband enjoyed the Baseball Museum. Fun facts a both places.

Main Street Hyannis can be a fun place. It transforms from aa T shirt mecca to a fun town in a hot minute. It's great to take a walk in the summer and stop for coffe or ice cream and maybe a t shirt if you want. There are also performers and little bands that pop up and play ion... More

Hyannis, Chatham, Falmouth... these are the walk and shop spots of the Cape. Many stores to traverse through, but most share 50% of the same old tourist cheap stuff. But you never know when you might find the treasure to take home. The walk is good for the heart, and there are plenty of food establishments for the soul

The problem with most seasonal places is that they are seasonal and may not be worth a visit in the off-season. While much of Main Street is closed in the off-season, there is still plenty of doors that remain open to visitors, even some that cater to visitors rather than we year around residents. In the middle of it all,... More

Quiet and quaint this time of year. We went on a weekend and found about a third of the business open. We enjoyed talking to the locals and a handful of tourists. The Cape has unique qualities each season, we love it there.

Walking down Main Street Hyannis is like walking down any small town main drag. Other than the JFK Museum there's nothing special. Though it was very clean and well kept. The Visitor's Center is housed in a Cupcake Shopa which made it hard to find for us. If not for the advice of a cabby and a local resident we... More

The town is a real old time New England village. Most of the stores and shops are privately owned and free from large corporate "suits" mandating certain rules and regulations. "Walking" main street in the evenings is one of our favorite things to do. There are so many great restaurants here, there is no need to go to the big... More
