Fun day

Really nice swimming spot. Plenty of parking and amenities. Nice day for large or small groups. Will go there again.

While the location is fairly convenient, and the sand is nice, and the new bathhouse is really good, the crowds, the trash, and the crime really take the appeal off this location. I recommend that you consider south shore salt water beaches instead, like Nantasket.

Beautiful clean and crisp way to experience New England fall if you're in a hurry to get out before the winter comes.

The water is shallow within the buoys. Nice place to bring kids. Lifeguard on duty. Pond is in the Blue Hills so you could go for a hike and then take a swim.

we didn't really spend to much time here we parked here before beginning our hike. Looked like a cute little are, not sure I would make the trip just for the pond, but it looked like a fun place to spend the day if you live close to the area

I went here with my granddaughter so she could swim. The area designated for swimming is very small. The parking lot and beach get crowded. Often you can not park due to a full lot. The bath house, playground , walking trails, & food stand are all positives for this place.

It is a bit of nature close to the city. You can see minnows as you swim and trash-free trails. It can get crowded on the weekends, but what do you expect from a park that doesn't charge an entrance fee? They have a new bathhouse, but once someone had left a dirty diaper.

What a wonderful find! Local pond with clear water, plenty of lifeguards, and comfortable beach house. Set at the base of the Blue Hills. Went mid-week and it wasn't very crowded although I understand it can be very crowded on week ends. A perfect getaway locally without having to fight traffic to get to city beaches. Many hiking options..

We have walked our dog here many times over the past 15 years, most often on the path around the pond and sometimes on a trail through the woods of the surrounding Blue Hills Reservation. It is a great place for a walk. We have not gone swimming in the pond or had a picnic or grill at the many... More
