Conveniently located just outside Boston and easily accessible by public transportation, Longyear Museum offers exhibits, publications, and programs on the life of one of America's most noted women, Mary Baker Eddy. Mrs. Eddy discovered Christian Science in 1866 and spent over 40 years making her discovery known through healing, writing, and teaching. The Museum has three main exhibits and a Library and Store. Free admission. Free on-site parking. Wheelchair accessible. Eight houses where Mrs. Eddy lived are owned by Longyear. For details on touring these houses in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, please call the Museum.

This beautifully and thoughtfully developed museum is not your average museum. Rather than objects being the focus, words and powerful ideas are the thrust of this experience. Learn more about some of the most courageous and revolutionary leaders of our country.

With all due respect, Longyear Museum, a lovely architectural building is comprised of an exhibit amounting to not much more than a few pages on Wikipedia: Mary Baker Eddy. If on a pilgrimage there may be some inspiration here, but otherwise, duh?

Fascinating! Learned so much about Mary Baker Eddy and the Christian Science religion. Enjoyed the introductory video in the theater and the adjoining displays.
