Dog walking on Weir Hill

Great place to hike with your dog. Bags provided at trail heads for picking up the "accidents". Be aware that letting your dog go for a swim could result in a fine of $50

I really enjoy walking these woods and the view is wonderful including lovely views of the lake ...Its clearly marked the trail so you shouldnt get lost. There were a lot of dogs when i was there but they provide many notices about cleaning up after your dog and we never had a problem. We visit this area very often... More

Beautiful location for a walk! Various trails good for all ability levels. Some have more incline than others. Beautiful views of the lake and of mountains in the distance. Dog friendly location. Worth the drive!

I've been going here several times a month for many years. There are two parking areas at different points. Go to thetrusteesofreservation.org for maps. Dogs are allowed and many people do bring dogs most off leash please pick up poop as the lake is the drinking supply water for the town, poop bags provided. If you don't like dogs you... More

Love Weir Hill for walking. It can be as strenuous as you'd like and that is what makes this walk so great. Wonderful views throughout the walk.

Weir Hill, run by the Trustees of Reservations, is a wonderful spot for a summer walk. It features sun and shade, water views, the hill of it's name, and a general feeling of peace and quiet (though you can hear some distant traffic on most of the trails). There is no parking area, although there is parking along Stevens Street,... More

Great place for a hike or a run in the woods. A couple of moderate hills to climb with some views. The hills can be avoided by doing a 2 mile loop that follows the shore of the lake (no swimming - public water supply).

Today we hiked a ~3 mile long trail at Weir Hill which is quite close to our place. It's a beautiful hike deep in the woods along the shore of lake Cochichewick

I've been a regular hiker here since I met my wife back in 2011. And she's been coming here for years. It's a solid trail where you feel like you've gotten a good workout in after climbing Weir Hill. The patrons who hike here are all very friendly and it's great to be able to take your dog to a... More

Go here a lot for a hike. You can take the dog trail most use to go around the pond. Or go straight up the top. For a beautiful sunset if you hit it right. This time we went to the top for a sunset and it was a beauty.
