We have now been to the Calvin 4 times to see various performers. This is a great little venue. There is not a bad seat in the house as we have sat in different spots each time. The sound is good there and for me being hearing impaired that is a real bonus. They offer meet and greets with performers... More

The Calvin is an okay place to see a show. It's certainly better than the Iron Horse, not quite as nice as The Academy of Music. I've seen many a show at the Calvin over the years and have noticed a real decline in the upkeep of the theater. I don't know what they're charging a "historical preservation" fee for,... More

This theater is perfect for seeing a show. It's just the right size and every seat is a good one. There's a bar as well!

The show we saw was excellent...the below review is strictly about the theater. Small historical theater that also has balcony seating. Well positioned stage with optimal viewing from almost all angles. Seats were comfortable with plenty of leg room. The below may be event specific: For the event we attended the orchestra pit was used as a dance floor. Keep... More

At the Calvin to see Get The Led Out, a Zep cover band (best band around doing Zep covers). Theater was easy to find, right across the street from the Hotel Northampton where we had a fine meal. There was quite a line for "will call" tickets but we had ours and admittance was quick & easy. The theater has... More

We have been here several times, and it seems that each time it is dirtier and more run-down. Right now even the sign in front is broken. This could be a very good concert venue if the owner would fix it up.

The theater has great sound quality but could use a bit of refurbishing! I would go back and see another concert...soon!!

Have seen a number of concert tours and comedians at the Calvin. Nice size theater and all seats offer a good view. I would recommend buying tickets in advance instead of waiting to pick them up at "will call" or buying at the box office last minute. The lines are long and run along the outside of the building- sometimes... More

Let me separate what is shown in the theatre, from where it is shown. First, this theatre is a magnet for an amazing collection of shows and artists. One's that work in far better sites in other places, like the House of Blues in Chicago. The Calvin is DESPERATELY in need of refurb. Clearly, it is an orphan that is... More

My friend and I went to Guster at this theatre a few weeks ago, first time at the Calvin first time in Northampton. his place a cool place to see a show, its funky and quirky much like the town, cool vibe. This place could be a real Gem if it were a bit more polished. its a little past... More
