Stayed near Nauset Beach but drove over to Skaket to swim, it was delightful. I think in the summer it must get pretty crowded but in Sept. the water is still pretty warm.

Nice small beach with good sand on the bay side of Orleans. Limited parking and restrooms. Nice to watch birds and see fish in the water. Pretty for sunsets. Not the extreme wind and surf that you will see on the Atlantic side of Orleans....More

Went at low tide. Plenty of beach for kids to run, play, gather and feel safe around water levels. Sunsets are amazing here.

Simply amazing and as described. You can walk forever until you hit the waters edge. So much fun and the scenery and dunes are all great. I couldn't believe what I saw. Nothing else like it.

At low tide, the beach extends quite far into the gulf because of how shallow the water is. This makes it great for flying kits, building sand castles or relaxing. Parking is $20/day and space is limited, so get there early if it is going...More

Just perfect. Shallow waters with a lot of things to do: build a sand castle, catch a crab or just to chase your little friend around.

The tidal flats at low tide were absolutley amazing. Hard to imagine just how far you can walk out. We set out a little before low tide and slowly followed it way out and then let the high tide slowly chase us back in. A...More

Nope. It will cost you $25 for a day of parking. Skaket is in Orleans so you would need an Orleans pass.

Yes they are. However, you must make sure it is anchored. The winds are very strong at times and I have witnessed a heavy metal canopy roll away in the wind because the owner only buried the legs in the sand. The people who... More
