Skaket is our first choice for early morning walks on the beach and we would definitely recommend to others (couples, families).

Tide is very gradual and easy on small children. Make sure that. You use plenty of suntan lotion at the beach since the sun is hot no matter the tide.

We stopped last night for the sunset. It's an excellent spot for watching sunset on Cape Cod. It is also one of the best beaches for families with small children ---- shallow, no surf, and when the tide goes out there are mud flats for...More

This is a great spot to watch the sun go down or just take a stroll. I went on a rather windy and cold day so it was not the best, but even then it is easy to see why this place is so beloved.

We are fortunate to live in Orleans and be able to visit this location year round. Best sunsets are during the summer when the sun sets into the ocean. There is a snack bar there and restrooms in season. When tide goes out, you can...More

This beach is a sea lover's dream...sunsets that are gorgeous, walking for miles on low tide days, crabbing with flashlights at night, or in the day too! In the off season, no parking fee...how great is that! You will love it!

We have been visiting the cape for several years now and each time, we spend mornings and afternoons walking on Skaket Beach. The beach is quiet, clean, un-commercialized and very peaceful. Very therapeutic.

A calm, quiet beach, not too overcrowded even at the height of summer. Great place to watch fishing boats off-load.

Nope. It will cost you $25 for a day of parking. Skaket is in Orleans so you would need an Orleans pass.

Yes they are. However, you must make sure it is anchored. The winds are very strong at times and I have witnessed a heavy metal canopy roll away in the wind because the owner only buried the legs in the sand. The people who... More
