As a justice of the peace, I have officiated at several weddings here. The incomparable view of Town Cove makes it a wonderful site for a romantic occasion. I pass the windmill most days and can never resist taking a quick peek in passing.

When in Orleans you can't not help but see the windmill driving through town of Orleans because of its location adjacent to the main road through Orleans Rt 28. But if you are walking from your motel, it is a nice historical side trip to view the windmill itself and the grounds and flowers planted there. The windmill is an... More

This windmill is outstanding and is situated in a picturesque area with the cove in the background. It is genuine in all respects. There is no fee. It is handicap accessible and easy to get to. Young and old alike will enjoy this windmill.

The Windmill was open today. The guide was very informative about it history. We went upstairs and saw how it worked as well. The history of turning the corn into cornmeal was very informative as well! Very pretty spot!

My husband and I were married in front of the Jonathan Young Windmill, so it holds a special place in my heart. It is set right in front of the water, and right next to the Orleans Inn. There are benches, so you can sit and read or watch the sailboats float by. A nice serene setting.

Dogs are allowed and poop bags are provided which is so nice. The windmill is strategically placed so you get a nice view of the cove. Swans are often seen gliding by. In mid summer when all of the flowers are abloom it's beautiful. There is no access to inside the windmill that I am aware.

Great place to relax, read a good book and enjoy the view of the bay along with all the birds and other wildlife. Walked over from the Orleans Inn
