Friendly, fun and excellent value for money
The hour we spent learning archery at Perriswood was a highlight of our half-term holiday on The Gower. From phoning up to check on availability we were made to feel welcome. The instruction was excellent and our 11 year old can’t wait to return to have another go. This was excellent value for money and something very different for the three of us. Highly recommended.

    Absolutely Fantastic
An amazing afternoon that all the family enjoyed; there are not many activities truly enjoyed by teens as much as younger ones. All of us enjoyed Archery including the 8 year old. Safety measures in place were excellent but didn't cause fear. Great to try a new sport. The bird show was fascinating, very informative as well as interactive. Will definitely return as felt truly welcome. Suitable for 4 to 94! Or as my 8 year old said when asked if it was good? 'More than Good'! You can't ask for more as a parent.

    We’ll be back again!
Mum and I celebrated Mother’s Day in nature. We had an amazing time at Perriswood with Julie and Brian. An afternoon filled with interesting facts, amazing admiration for our local wildlife, and learning a new skill (archery). 100% would recommend to anyone who loves our planet and its animals. You might even get a “hello” from the Cockatoos 😂

    Amazing!!
We had a family day out at Perriswood Center which included archery and the bird show hosted by Brian. We all thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon, our favourite bird was Jon the Owl. We would highly recommend Perriswood, it did not disappoint and we will visit again in the future.

Great afternoon out for all the family. Great people in lovely surroundings and very informative.
What a great place. The archery was really well taught and informed, as well as great fun. The birds of prey were absolutely incredible and we all learnt so much. To cap it off the cafe was really nice. There wasn’t anything I don’t believe that Brian didn’t know about birds of prey! I would highly recommend.

Excellent afternoon of archery and falconry
We had a fantastic afternoon of archery and falconry. The views from the farm were stunning and Brian & Julie could not have been more friendly, helpful or informative. It was a relaxed but safe environment for the archery; we were each fitted with a bow, taught how to aim & fire the arrows and given safety instructions. We really enjoyed ourselves and the hour flew by. The falconry was fascinating and Brian taught us a lot about the different birds. By the end, even the most nervous of us was confident enough to hold a falcon! We would definitely recommend a visit.

    Perfect family experience
Amazing experience for us all. Went with my 6 year old who got involved in it all. Handling the birds and shooting archery. The team were brilliant at showing us what to do as newbies to archery, and at supporting my somewhat experienced husband. Brian was brilliant with the birds, really helped boost people's confidence who were nervous about handling. He was also very knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions. The location is also gorgeous, lovely views and fields with sheep and horses too. There is a little cafe on site to end the session with coffee and ice cream! Perfect afternoon out for the family.

    Excellent staff with autistic participant
Do not be put off by the look of the place which is a little unkept as the staff are amazing. We went with a young none verbal autistic adult and they were absolutely amazing with him. He was encouraged to join in and participate, he was supported but not made to feel any different and was expected to listen and follow rules. Thank you so much It was such a great positive experience for him we would certainly recommend you to othets

Perriswood - Great location and excellent tuition. Worth a visit, whatever the weather.
Great location and great facilities. My son had been several times and I wanted to join him on a rainy day for an archery lesson. It had been a while since I tried it, but with expert tuition from Brian, I managed to improve my grouping and accuracy within the hour. We were joined by members of the local archery club who were welcoming and offered advice and were more than comfortable shooting with our 9 Yr old son. Perriswood is a great option for anyone visiting Gower, whatever the weather. The onsite cafe offered cake, ice cream and drinks with an amazing view. Well worth a visit!

The staff are all friendly, informative and hands on throughout. Safety and Fun are obviously equally important to the team. We did Archery and the Falconry show which were both indoors at this time but did not detract. Had we been in the area for longer I would have gone straight back.
I would say that I am one for understanding full prices before I look into booking anywhere and their website just asks for the customer to call for this information. Had our neighbours at the campsite we were staying not booked and invited us along, I would have not followed up on my first look at the website. That would have been a big mistake. A simple "Prices From" would have solved my initial question.. thank goodness for the neighbours as our afternoon was beyond all expectations and we will no doubt visit again when in the area.

We very much enjoyed the bird-of-prey display, which was given by a real expert who is very invested in his birds. It was very interesting and informative, and the flying was impressive. Ours was their first show since lockdown and he reckoned it was a little limited by the restrictions, but everybody seemed very satisfied with it.

The location is very beautiful, looking down on a bay, so it's perfect for the purpose. They even have a tearoom for a nice cuppa and a cake.

We didn't try the archery, but people looked to be having a good time doing it, and it appeared to be professionally run.

Superb activities. The archery was fun and challenging, with a great team that were extremely helpful and friendly. The falconry was spectacular, and the falconer showed amazing mastery and control of his birds. They are such beautiful creatures and that was proven throughout the entire experience. Both activities were fun for all ages and I would strongly recommend others to try it for yourself.

We've been comming here on and off for over 10 years, and we allways have such a great time doing archery and bird display. Today did not dissapoint, Archery is allways good family fun but the bird of prey display was superb. Brian said at the start that we would see something different this year and it was fantastic. It was more of an educational experience with open questions and answers which Brian was more than happy to answer.. We allways learn something when we come here and the passion they have for the birds really shines out. Thank you so much for all the great memories we've had as a family comming and learning about all the different birds. If youre in the area and want to do something a little different then give this place a try, really intertesting, good fun, lovely people and fantastic value for money.

I would highly recommend anyone visiting the Gower go to this place ~ it’s brilliant! The owners are lovely, so welcoming and knowledgeable about their birds and archery. We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon trying archery (Julie was VERY patient with my ineptitude!) and gave all 3 of us in our party the confidence to keep trying ~ so much so, we have looked into archery clubs at home. The falconry display was stunning ~ so much knowledge and the birds are amazing ~ my particular favourite was Little John. I can’t recommend this place highly enough ~ if you are in the area, give it a go. We will definitely be back when we return to the area

We have been going to Perriswood as a family for a number of years and it’s our happy place. The views are stunning across Oxwich bay and the activities are top drawer and run by people who know exactly what they are doing. The on-site cafe cabin also does delicious cakes, coffee, panini so we have been known to go there on a sunny day just to sit and enjoy the view armed with a coffee and cake. We have done the full gambit now a number of times, archery, rifle shooting, falconry and never get bored. It’s a gem of a place and I’m amazed at how many people don’t know it’s there or have never been. Highly recommended especially on a nice day to fully appreciate the place and the views. Thanks Brian and Julie for another great rifle and archery shooting this weekend. Nicky x

Great place to have a go at archery, helpful instruction but still fun for all ages. Held indoors as the weather was awful but can do outdoors as well when the weather permits. Lovely people running the centre, happy to answer questions and very encouraging. Would love to go back and try some of the other activities as well as more archery.

We took the family to try out archery and see a birds of prey show and demonstration of falconry. Both activities were really well run by people who clearly love their jobs and are real experts.

For the archery, the team are really professional, have an excellent attitude to safety, but also make it fun and are good teachers.

The falconry was also excellent - informative about the different birds, how they are looked after and trained, but also allowing time for both parents and kids alike to get up close with the birds. There was plenty of time for everyone to take photos but with the knowledge that these are dangerous predators and need to be treated with the utmost care and respect.

Definitely recommend Perriswood to anyone visiting Gower!

We decided to come here as a last minute idea for our Wedding Anniversary! The weather was pretty rough but that did not stop us! We went for an hour Archery session and some bird handling. The archery was held indoors and we learnt so much and the lovely people that owned the site made us feel so safe and we had an absolute blast! We wanted to see some of the birds that are held here so the guy who owns the farm brought some of his beautiful birds out for us to meet. We were in awe of how healthy and happy the birds were. He definitely knew his stuff and we could’ve stayed there forever listening to him! Such a wonderful place we can’t wait to come back in the Summer

As a large family of 6 (with 4 older children’s and a dog) we really had such a good time here. Beautiful surroundings and great facilities, the instructions were clear and we felt very safe. Staff were really lovely and we want to give a special mention to the young ladies who supported us throughout our time here.

We were made to feel welcome and all felt we were given time to develop our archery skills. Being able to bring our dog was a big bonus, we could totally relax and all 6 of us were able to take part.

We would absolutely recommend the Archery here to anyone, there is even a cafe with excellent ice cream. We can’t wait to come back!
